Our number one tourist attraction is frankly our location; it is a beautiful area. We are situated in a hilly valley surrounded by hills, which is a little bit unusual because most valleys are pretty flat, but we have hills. So we have wonderful panoramic views and a lot of trees. We're situated between two water sources, the Blanco River and Cypress Creek, and a lot of tributary creeks so there is lot of water around. People come here to relax and enjoy the beauty of the countryside and swim in the rivers or the creeks. They also come for our shopping; we are well known for our arts and our shopping. We have Wimberley Market Days, which is the first Saturday of every month, April through December. It is on 14 acres of land with trees shading it. There are 465 vendors, live music and homemade barbecue; anything you want, you can find there. So that's our biggest month shopping attraction in addition to our arts. We have a lot of little stores on our square and nothing we have no big box businesses here. So everything here is individual and unusual.A lot of people like to come here and stay and then use Wimberley as a base for excursions throughout the hill country and down to San Antonio. We're a tourist town.
