A trance is a subdued state of relaxation which is the beginning of hypnosis. From there, you have a deeper trance or deep trance. That's where you can bypass you critical factor, but a trance is just a relaxation in the area of hypnosis.

Unconsciousness is grossly mis-defined in the area of hypnosis. When you are unconscious, you don't think. You are unconscious. You don't hear anything, you don't remember anything.

You don't taste anything; you don't feel the air in your hair or on your arms. You don't feel your clothes on your body. You are unconscious; you are totally knocked out. That is not hypnosis. Hypnosis is heightened awareness of focused concentration, so you would feel more air on your arms or on your face. If I told you to notice how your clothes actually felt on your skin, you would be able to totally focus on that more, you would be able to totally hear what I was saying to you. I think of unconscious definitely not in the terms of hypnosis.
