If you tell someone that you want to plan a nudist camping trip, well, let’s just say they might look at you a little strangely if they aren’t into the natural look. But, it’s not as uncommon as you might think. In fact, there are thousands of members across the world that proudly belong to one of the many nudist organizations prevalent today. So, don’t worry, planning a nudist camping trip will be easier than you might have imagined.

When choosing a spot for your nudist camping trip, be careful. Nudity may set you free, but it won’t do the same thing for everybody else. So, check the local laws of the state and city you’re in to see if public nudity is illegal before you start setting up the tent.

Most every state has nudist resorts that have dedicated a spot on their land for camping, so checking out one of those will be your best bet. Arizona, Pennsylvania, Maine, Ohio and Vermont are just a few of the states that have resorts and campgrounds for your nudist pleasure. So, if you plan your camping trip at a nudist resort it will enable you to be surrounded by people who share your same interests and won’t be offended by your visible body parts.

Once you have found the campground for your nudist camping trip, make sure to bring all the essentials along with you. Food, water, shelter and sanitation will be among your highest concerns if you want to have a comfortable and fun camping experience.

Since you’ll probably be staying at a commercial nudist camping ground, your basic sanitation needs will already be provided (shower and toilet) so you won’t have to worry about that. Make sure to bring lots of bottled water to keep you hydrated through all the activities you will be doing, like hiking and swimming.

You are going to want to spend as much time exploring the outdoors on your nudist camping trip as possible, so bring meals that can be easily prepared. Stew, simple sandwiches, hamburgers and s’mores are always a good idea!

Some other items you will need on your nudist camping trip are towels, a tent, tarp or sleeping bag, canteen, utensils, plates, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, matches or lighter, rope, camera, ice chest, chairs, camp stove and garbage bags. Every person is different and so are their needs, so think about the essentials you will want while camping in the outdoors.

If you have all the above steps covered, you’re set to have a great nudist camping trip experience. Just remember to be respectful of other people if you do decide to forgo the commercial campground and find your own spot somewhere else. Nudity isn’t illegal in Florida, so you might want to pitch your tent in that state. Educate yourself on the states that allow nudity, so you don’t end up wearing handcuffs instead of roasting marshmallows. That being said, if you follow the rules of each individual state, your nudist camping trip will go off without a hitch!
