Water Parks on the Beach

There’s no better way to beat the summer heat than spending the day at a water park. Many of the most popular beaches in the nation are also home to the best water parks. A visit to a water park can be a great activity for the whole family to enjoy during your beach vacation.

It consists of a body only slide through a tunnel to a near straight down fall, allowing its victims to reach speeds of up to 45 mph. This park not only caters to adults and older children, it also has plenty of water activities for your small children to enjoy. Wee Kids Water World is especially for your smaller children and offers a fountain and floatable characters for your little ones to bounce around on. Blizzard Beach is on of the most popular water parks in Orlando Beach. This water park ranks number 2 on the Travel Channel’s top ten best water parks in the United States. Although Florida has no shortage of water parks, this park comes with a little history. The legend is a freak snowstorm covered the area and it was originally being designed to be a ski resort. Of course, it wouldn’t stay cold in Florida for long, so, as the snow melted, what should have been ski slopes quickly turned to water slides. From there, a water park was born. Some of their thrill rides include the Summit Plummet, the Splush Gusher, and the Downhill Double Dipper. The Disney theme is sure to please any Disney fan. For more information, you can call them at 407-824-4321.

Located in Panama City Beach, Florida is the Shipwreck Island Water Park. The Tree Top Drop and the Raging Rapids are just a few of this park’s thrill rides. For the whole family, they also offer a lazy river and an ocean motion wave pool. Your smaller children will not be disappointed either. The Tadpole Hole is especially for them. The Tadpole Hole offers smaller children the Silly Sub, the Pelican, and the Frog. These attractive animal slides are sure to make any toddler squeal with delight. This park also has season passes available for regular visitors. If you would like more information on this water park, call them at 850-234-3333.

These are just some of the many water parks you can find at our nation’s beaches. Water parks come with many different options, from lazy river rides to thrill rides that would scare even the bravest person. If you are planning a beach vacation, check with the hotel you have your accommodations with to see what water parks are located in the area. Many hotels will list water parks in their brochures. Consider changing up your trip to the beach with a trip to a water park, after all, sand in the bathing suit can become really unpleasant after a while.
