Well, you have a whole line of different flies that you can use starting with attractor patterns. An example of attractor patterns would be Royal Wolf and orange stimulators. The best thing I can give you are the names of the different flies, but without actually looking at the flies, it's hard to do it. Attractor patterns are traditional flies, which are flies that either look like mayflies, caddis, hatches,or things like mosquitoes, quill gardens, green drags, Adams, blue dawn, and blue wing. They actually look like an actual insect. Then, the attractor patterns are things like irresistibles, royal wolves, stimulators, humbees, and flies that fish like. Another type would be caddis or nymphs. You can either drive fly-fish or you can nymph fish. Nymph fishing is fishing under the surface. What you are doing is trying to show the fish, things like caddis, emergers, mayfly nymphs. These are insects that are going through the underwater part of their cycle, and the fish actually will eat on probably about 85% underneath. So, nymph fishing is always a little more productive than flyfishing on the surface. Now there are some other things that we fish with and they are called streamers.
