Step 1
Create your custom shade of foundation. Sheer Cover kits come with two colors of foundation in your skin tone. To determine the perfect color for you, tap a little of both shades onto a facial tissue. Use your finger to apply a strip of both colors of foundation to the cheek area right above your jaw. Check your face in the light to see whether either of the foundation colors match. If neither does, blend some of the two colors, testing them on your jaw, until you get the right blend. At this point, you can mix a batch of your custom blend of foundation and store it in one of the containers or in the all-in-one travel brush.

Step 2
Cleanse your face using the Sheer Cover Conditioning Cleanser. Rinse your face and pat dry. Apply the Sheer Cover Nourishing Moisturizer to your face and neck. If you prefer, you can use another brand of cleanser and moisturizer. Even if you have oily skin, be sure to apply moisturizer to your freshly washed face; mineral makeup adheres better to moisturized skin.

Step 3
Cover acne, dark shadows under the eyes, age spots or other trouble spots on your face using the Sheer Cover Duo Concealer. Swirl the concealer brush into the concealer that is a little lighter than your skin tone. Dab the concealer on your trouble spots and feather the edges to blend.
-
Step 4
Dip the foundation brush into the container of mineral foundation and swirl it around to load the powder onto the brush. Tap the brush on the edge of the container to remove excess. Then invert the brush, so that the bristles are vertical and tap the handle of the brush against a surface; this works the mineral powder down into the brush.
-
Step 5
Place the mineral foundation brush near the outer edge of your face. Swirl the foundation brush in circles, working toward the center of your face. By applying on the outer edge first, this will prevent any large concentrates of mineral foundation from being applied directly to the center of your face. Go back and buff your face with the foundation brush--without loading any more foundation powder--to even out the makeup.

Step 6
Apply more coverage to areas that still might need it. Dip the concealer brush into the concealer and dab it over the areas, smoothing out the edges, until you get the coverage needed.
