INGREDIENTS:
3 oz. crushed walnuts, toasted
1 large can of beets, drained and quartered
2 cups premade cream of celery soup
3 fl.oz. half and half cream
1 tbsp. white wine
½ onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp. chervil, finely chopped
METHOD:
Preheat oven to 400 F (200 C). In an ovenproof dish, combine beet quarters, cream of celery soup, half and half cream, white wine, onion and chervil. Bake for 25 minutes until bubbling. Garnish with crushed walnuts and serve hot as a side dish to grilled meats or as a meatless meal by adding a hearty salad and soft rolls.
