Because we are on the water, our climate is rather temperate. Even in the winter, it's not terribly cold and we don't get a tremendous amount of snow. In the winter average highs during January and February are probably in the upper 20s to low 30s. Some of my favorite times of year to be here are May and June. September and October are certainly beautiful with the fall foliage, but it really is very much a year around destination. In the summer, the city and our surrounding towns are busy with outdoor concerts on the historic greens that run throughout the region. The winter months are very active, with theater groups putting on shows throughout the winter months at places like the Long Wharf Theater and the Schubert Theater. So there is really something going on throughout the year here.
