Sacramento is a classic place for people to make fun of as an area of dry heat. Sacramento is very comfortable. It's not humid, so your shirt is not stinking or that sort of thing. Our hot months are the July and August timeframe. It can get into the triple digits. During the rest of the year, we have very moderate temperatures and very mild winters. It often doesn't get below 40 even in the colder months. During the hot summer months, we get cool breezes off the American River and the Sacramento River. It can be 102 at 3 p.m. and down to 72 by 8 p.m. It takes a bit of time to get warm in the mornings, it gets hot in the afternoons, and then we get a quick cool down in the evening again.
