First, I would recommend that you weigh yourself on a daily basis. You need to. A lot of times we will say don't weigh yourself because it's not going to help you. You can't achieve any type of success in any field passively. The bottom line is that you need to weigh yourself to support physically whether what you are doing is yielding anything good or if its not. Some people actually don't like to know that they are not doing well. I don't know if they like being mediocre but they settle for being mediocre. You know a lot of times I think in the position that we're as trainers living a healthy lifestyle with regard to how we eat, how we prioritize, how we exercise, how we try to balance out our stress and our spiritual life. I think it allows others whether or not I know I have been impacted. I am very fortunate. I have students e-mailing me all the time telling me I have helped them and helped their families and their lives. It's a wonderful thing and I really realized that when you allow yourself to shine, it really subconsciously allows people around you to think I can be better, I can do better. Sometimes a lot of people don't get that and I think that's one of the problems with being in situation like an inner city. They are so many people who are so downcast and don't really think that there is anyway to have hope that it really is kind of a permeating thing. They can't see it. They don't see it. They think this is the best that is ever going to be and when something does happen that's good, it's like they hold their breath like is this really true. Is this something that's really possible for me? I think when you are around positive people it really allows other people around them to get a positive way to let them know I can do this, too. I have the inheritability to be able to do what I want to do if I really make a concerted effort. If I stay persistent and prepare myself and do what's necessary then it is a possibility.
