What's The Difference Between A Trance And Daydreaming?

What's the difference between a trance and daydreaming? When you are daydreaming you can be in a trance. But sometimes while daydreaming we are kind of worried about stuff and it becomes more of not a trance.

It is a matter of when you go in and out, and most of the time it just depends. Some people aren't present in their everyday lives, just kind of daydreaming all the time. When you are daydreaming you can be in a trance, but sometimes while daydreaming we are kind of worried about stuff so it becomes more of not a trance. When so much worry and anxiety take over our lives that is not a trance. A trance is an altered state and is very relaxing.

That's why a lot people get addicted to television after they get off from work because it puts them in a state that relaxes the mind.

Some people use alcohol to relax their mind or drugs, some use food and some use sex.

All addicts are trying to get to that state that shuts the mind off because the mind is always telling us what we didn't do yesterday, what we are worried about for the future, conversations from the past and the future that we are worried about and never about the present moment. When we are not present, we worry and our bodies tense up.

Hypnosis can be used in everyday circumstances. For instance, in the dentist's office when you are nervous. Some people use self-hypnosis when they are having a hard time sleeping. They do this by thinking of something happy and that puts them in a trance or they listen to music that puts them in a trance. So it's a very natural state that is used a lot, but people think that we term hypnosis. It is just the use of the state of relaxation, hypnosis is just another name for that state.
