There are several ways to do it. For younger high school guys who may not have all that much athletic ability, I would only teach two moves. One of those would be a speed release, meaning if a defender is up in your face, rather than standing in place and moving side to side, you would take off without doing a lot of movements. With the other move, if you're going outside, you'll want to stem the guy on the inside shoulder so he'll move off your path. Also, you'll use your hands to knock his hands down, because a lot of times they are going to try to shove you and get their hands on you.
