Women's Work Clothes: Women's Wardrobe For Under $100

Women! Start your work clothes wardrobe for under $100 and never wear the same outfit twice in one week.

You need a casual work wardrobe and your on a budget. Have you ever considered shopping at one of the $10 or less stores for women. They are popping up all over the country in shopping malls and strip malls.

Let's say you only have $100 to shop with and you need some new clothes for your new job. We took a pencil and paper to one such store and tried on several combination of clothes suitable for the office. These items you can mix and match and never look like you are wearing the same outfit. The shoes were less than $10 at a Payless shoe store.

You will need to purchase:

One white blouse

One pink blouse

One soft green blouse

One black skirt

One black blazer

One pair tan pants

One neutral color jumper (tan or beige is good)

One pair black shoes

One pair beige or tan shoes

Examples of outfits you can put together:

Monday - white blouse, black skirt, black blazer, black shoes

Tuesday - pink blouse, tan pants, tan shoes

Wednesday - green blouse, jumper, tan shoes

Thursday - white blouse, tan pants, tan shoes

Friday - pink blouse, black skirt, black blazer, black shoes

You see the possibilities. This is a wardrobe you can add to piece by piece. A good way to increase your work wardrobe is after this basic starting wardrobe, each week buy one new piece of clothing. If you buy something at one of the $10 stores or any retail store off season, you can usually get it with a 50-75% discount so you can build your clothes closet cheaper and quicker.



Another good place to shop for good work clothing is a second hand store. The stores you find in more upscale neighborhoods will have some clothing in it that is new and still has the tags for whatever reason. Or the clothing in these stores will be nearly new. In talking to one such shop owner specializing in second hand women's clothes, she commented, "I will not buy a piece of clothing that I would not wear." Second hand stores are popping up all over.

Yard, garage and rummage sales are a great place to buy clothes. You may have to dig through some stuff you wouldn't be caught dead in, but once you find something good, you usually can get it for under $5.

It isn't hard to dress inexpensively. It may take a little work, but you CAN look great for a small amount of money.
