Would You Recommend Scrapbooking As A Hobby?

Would you recommend scrapbooking as a hobby? Scrapbooking is a fun hobby, although it can be expensive sometimes. I don't make them for other people and sell them. I just do it as a hobby for myself. I...

I don't make them for other people and sell them. I just do it as a hobby for myself. I have made one for my friends that went to a festival with me several years ago. I made her a smaller version of what I did for myself because she didn't bring a camera and she was complaining the whole time, "I wish I had brought my camera." So I took some pictures (I had double prints made) and I put together the ones that really made some sense in a smaller book and gave it to her as a gift. But, no I would never consider doing it and charging anyone for it; it's very tedious. It's a lot of work. It is just something to do; it's therapeutic, I think. If you are stressed out about something, you can get to work on something like this and it makes it easier.

It's an interesting way to keep your photos. Getting them in albums is always a chore for most people, but taking the time and actually making it something that you will have for forever is great. Think about the generation that comes after you have gone; they can see that book, they can actually not only see pictures of you, but they can see actually what you were able to do and what it meant to you. If you've got pictures of events that you had a horrible time at, it's not going to be very easy for you to express yourself and decorate the pages. But if you can take some of that event or that ceremony or whatever it was, you can take what that meant to you and put it on the paper. It's definitely expressing yourself and once you have children, they can come back and look at it and they would definitely appreciate it.
