The state has youth hunt days where younger people go out and hunt. Of course, they are hunting with the adults. You have your wildlife standards that are assessed by the Department of Conservation of Natural Resources where you can only kill say one dove a day or one buck a day or stuff like that. They have to be at least whatever size and on youth days, those standards are relaxed because as you can imagine if the 10 year old girl is out with her dad and sees something, she is going to get excited and probably shoot it. So that's one of those days where they encourage people to take younger kids out and teach them how to hunt and not worry about there being any penalty if they shoot something that's possibly not quite big enough. They also do a lot of youth hunts around here that are fundraisers. There is a private school that puts on a youth hunt every year and they raise money through their youth hunt. Most youth hunts here are for under privileged children and they do deer hunting and turkey hunts. We have several members of our community that are very active in the National Wildlife Federation, the Alabama Wildlife Federation, and the National Wild Turkey Federation. And one of the things that we have been pleased to take part in is a citizen has donated a large portion of land to the state to be used for youth hunts and certain things for under privileged children. The Alabama Wildlife Federation has just begun a series called Legacy Outdoor Adventures and it's for children who lost their parents in the military, firemen or police that have died in the line of fire. They are taking the children out, giving them a total outdoor experience through hunting and camping and fishing and hiking and all that sort of thing, to kind of thank them. The state has chosen 12 different representatives from around the state to be outdoor ambassadors for the year 2006 and one of those outdoor ambassadors is one our residents. He has been selected to serve as an ambassador for the state permit outdoors. So there is definitely a lot to do and see and you don't just have to go out and shoot the stuff. The photography that you can do at any of the different wildlife areas, especially a national wildlife refuge, is welcome. They welcome photographers out there. They have a seven mile trail you can go on and of course you can hike as well but bird watching and those types of laid back outdoor activities are certainly available here. We have the privilege and honor of being an Autobahn International Certified Sustainable Community and not only that, but we are the only Autobahn International Certified Sustainable Community in the world. Autobahn International basically has chosen us and indeed certified us as a sustainable community. Things that we are doing here are preserving the values Autobahn International holds true and as much as we progress, we make sure that our progress does not hinder the preservation of our wildlife and our land and our resources; that the things that we do are proactive in maintaining the natural resources through wildlife.
