The house actually has an antenna that checks with a satellite before it waters the yard, and this satellite will tell the house what the evaporation and transpiration has been in our neighborhood for the past two weeks. So if it has rained or humidity has been really high, it would not automatically water the yard. It also knows what depths to water which plants in the yard, so some areas will get more water than other areas. Okay, that is the outside. Let's go inside. The hot water is an on-demand system and that means it's like a doorbell, so it is just a button. Every place that you have hot water -- the bathrooms, the kitchen, and the utility room -- if you are going to use hot water, you push that button and a pump turns on that starts circulating the hot water to that room. As it pushes towards that room, there is cold water in the pipe in front of the hot water and the cold water is simply pushed back to the hot water heater and when the hot water gets to the faucet the pump goes off. So, we have waited about five seconds we have hot water at the faucet without wasting any water. Now, we turn the hot water faucet on and we have instant hot water. You did not wait for so much water go down the drain before it got hot. I think water is going to be as important as gasoline and probably as expensive in the next ten years.
